During my summer internship at WillowTree Apps, I was tasked to redesign the web navigation system for electric vehicle charging company Electrify America. This product directly impacts the user’s interaction and navigation on the website, influencing their overall experience and engagement; it was necessary to redesign with practicality and usability at the forefront.

This product directly impacts the user’s interaction and navigation on the website, influencing their overall experience and engagement; it was necessary to redesign with practicality and usability at the forefront.

I am thrilled to share that as of January 2024, users are experiencing the updated navigation system on ElectrifyAmerica.com.

I am thrilled to share that as of January 2024, users are experiencing the updated navigation system on ElectrifyAmerica.com.

Although I am no longer working with Electrify America, I would measure success of this redesign by comparing the original pain points and user data to the following metrics:


  • Conduct quantitative data, such as rating features based on usability and how intuitive the navigation is.

  • Revisit original users for feedback, as well as invite new users as a control group.

  • Consult web metrics to monitor click rates and frequently visited pages.
